Beauty Advice| Olivia Palermo’s AM/PM Beauty Routine

Ever since appearing on reality series The City, Olivia Palermo has paved her way as one of NYC’s most discerning dressers. But when it comes to beauty?

Here’s the lowdown on her equally exacting daily routine…

I’ve been using the same skincare since I was 14 years old…

I swear by DR.Dennis Gross; he’s been my dermatologist since I was a teenager. I use the All-in-One Cleanser with Toner and the Hyaluronic Moisture Cushion every single morning.

My morning ritual  is a workout…

It jumpstarts my day. I do Tracy Anderson’s workouts as they create a balance in your body by engaging both the larger and smaller muscle groups, plus they are set in an environment with controlled heat and humidity levels for the best results.

There’s only one place I go to for my hair…

…and that’s Julien Farel’s salon on Park Avenue, New York. I only see Andre Davis or Abby Haliti for my cut and color. My two most trusted makeup artists are Daniel Martin and Nelson Catarino, and for nails my favorite salon is Plaza M in Tribeca.

I love going for facials…

I go to see Dr. Dennis Gross once a month for a medical peel facial, and I recommend everyone who can to go and see him. If I’m traveling to Los Angels, I see Joanna Vargas at The Sunset Tower Hotel for the Triple Crown facial. Her radio frequency facials are also a must. In London, I visit Fere & Hasti at Nevielle Hair & Beauty.

I have a daily mantra…

,,Reflect rather than react”. My parents taught me this growing up and I say it in stressful situations or difficult times.

When I need a refresh…

Lavender oil is a go-to when I feel tired. And if I’m tired but need to energize, I drink lots of lemon-infused water or tea – Mighty Leaf has the best flavor combinations. I also think working out is a cure to beat tiredness, especially jet lag, but a massage or steam room dosen’t hurt either.

No matter what, I always remove my makeup every night…

It’s the most important thing for great skin. I’m faithful to my Clarisonic, which helps to clear out any dead cells and remove dirt and grime. I then use Joanna Vargas Super Nova Serum followed by Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil.

For my evening pamper..

I mainly choose sheet masks. They’re a savior for when my skin needs some TLC. I love Joanna Vargas Twiling Face Masks – they give such an amazing glow and leave my skin really sot. I also think the SK-II sheet masks are incredible – both the Facial Treatment Mask, which is more intensive for hydration, and the Brightening  Derm Revival Mask

To wind down at night…

I take a nice hot shower and love citrus – or bergamot – scented body was. Then I catch up on my TV Shows.

My nightstand essential…

is a Diptyque candle. I’m currently burning the Baies one; it sits in may leather Vianel tray next to a framed photo of my husband and me.
